🌪️ The Birth of Tornado Quest

Tornado Quest started as a simple idea: what if you could be the tornado instead of running from it? We wanted to create a power fantasy that was both satisfying and stress-relieving. The concept evolved from a basic destruction simulator into a full role-playing experience where players can evolve their tornado abilities.

🎮 Gameplay Design Philosophy

Our core philosophy was to create a "stress-busting" experience. Unlike traditional games with timers, enemies, or complex objectives, Tornado Quest focuses on pure satisfaction through destruction.

Developing Tornado Quest presented several unique technical challenges that we had to overcome:

Managing hundreds of physics objects while maintaining smooth 60fps gameplay required careful optimization of Unity's physics system and custom object pooling.

HTML5 Optimization

Exporting to HTML5 while maintaining visual quality meant finding the right balance between particle effects and browser performance.

Procedural Destruction

Creating believable building collapse patterns required custom algorithms that could handle various building types and sizes.

🎨 Art Direction

The low-poly aesthetic wasn't just a stylistic choice—it was a practical decision that enhanced both performance and visual appeal.
